My Beloved Mt. Zion Family:

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done” – Philippians 4:6 – New Living Translation.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we must remember who is in control. Our God is sovereign over all things, including COVID-19.  Our God is a pillow on which we can lay our head.  I believe that it was Jesus who said, “28…Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.  29Take My yoke upon you.  Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  30For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light” – Matthew 11:28-30 – New Living Translation.

Remember God’s gracious promise, and that it is true, and He is faithful to keep it for He said; “…I will never fail you.  I will never abandon you” – Hebrews 13:5 – New Living Translation.

Verse 6 reminds us of the power that comes in trusting God and how we can live in this trying time; “So we can say with confidence, The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear.  What can mere people [or COVID-19] do to me?” – Hebrews 13:6 – New Living Translation.

God loves us, and in Jesus Christ we find confidence and calm in times of uncertainty and trouble.  When we trust in God, fear is replaced with faith, stress is replaced with strength, anxiety is gone and hope abounds, problems become opportunities, and we are able to receive the blessings God has for us in the midst of difficult circumstances.  Turn to Jesus Christ, He will lead you to the still waters and give rest for your troubled soul.  I can hear David’s shouting; “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me.  Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me” – Psalm 23:4 – New Living Translation.

The hope we have in Jesus Christ is an anchor for the soul, both sure and steadfast.  The writer of Hebrews declares; “This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.  It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary” – Hebrews 6:19 – New Living Translation.

I encourage you to keep your mind and heart fixed on Jesus Christ and His kingdom.  Remember, the way to both is marked by taking up your cross and following Him.  He is with us and His light is most clearly seen when it is darkest.  Pray and unite your prayers and suffering with the Body of Christ.

Praying God’s Blessings and Favor
